The Iranian Olympian table tennis player Noshad Alamian faced Japan’s Ryotaro Ogata on Wednesday in the Round of 64 at the ITTF 2016 World Tour Korea Open underway in Incheon where he made a clean sweep.
Alamian came out on top in all sets (11-7, 11-7, 13-11 and 11-6) except the fourth set (8-11) in order to overcome the opposition 4-1 overall.
Earlier today, the Iranian paddler had hammered Hogyun Baek of the host country 4-1 in his first fixture at the international sportive event.
A first appearance on the ITTF World Tour in 2001 when the tournament was staged in Seoul and present ever since that date; the 2016 ITTF World Tour Korea Open marks the 16th edition of the event.
Staged in Incheon, the city which borders Seoul and is the home of East Asian country’s major international airport, is for the sixth consecutive year the host; play commenced today on Wednesday 22nd June and concludes on Sunday 26th June.
